Okay. I'm trying to keep this short, but I want to talk about the 90's. It's not what you think because i'm not in praise or anything. First of all, this post goes out to anyone who lived in San Diego for the last 10yrs+ since you'll know what i'm talking about. Remember when Off the Record was on 4th ave in Hillcrest and everytime you'd go to buy a LP or something there'd always be some group of gutterpunks hanging around the front. They never bought anything. They always asked you for a dollar. They had patches of bands that you never heard of and couldn't find putting your Axiom or Amebix patch, or whatever, to shame. Remember them? NOW! Please tell me why, ten years later, there is still a group of gutterpunks that hang around Hillcrest long after Off The Record has moved locations. I know Taang is there now, and thats cool if you want to buy a $400 Misfits 7inch or find a hard copy of Boots and Braces. Please. Live in the NOW! Go somewhere else, it's not like you're the last breed of your kind going extinct and you want to pass on your culture. "Utah, give me two."
